Are you under attack or is tuning needed?

Recognizing true and false positives with Akamai

Analyzing security events is an opportunity to understand better what is happening to your services and applications.

While it is true that there is a certain amount of background noise related to attack events, sometimes parts of our application are prone to trigger WAF controls when unexpected payloads traverse the perimeter.

So, are you under attack? Join us at this session to understand if tuning is required (due to false positive security triggers) or if indeed there is attack traffic targeting your application.

We will cover the concepts of:
  • Peace time vs. war time in security events
  • Circadian rhythm in applications
  • Types of data transmitted by a client: content-type relevance
  • Identifying specific application workflows that might cause security events
