Video and high resolution imagery can greatly enhance your user’s experience, but it can also cause complications with the performance of your website and management of your website assets, which now need to be compatible with various end user experiences across web and mobile. So you can focus on more critical tasks, we have Akamai Image Manager, making life easier for developers and admins in a number of different ways, allowing you to seamlessly manage the delivery and optimization of your website assets.
For starters, we just released video optimizations for Akamai Image Manager 4.0, now in beta, which you can start using today. This means Akamai can manage the delivery of your image and video assets, delivering them in the right file format and resolution for the end user’s device, browser, and OS, while compressing for byte size savings without sacrificing visual quality. With Image Manager, you can also create and deliver any variant image you need with a simple change of URL. These variants include changes in size parameters, background color changes, applying watermarks, and many more. That means developers and admins no longer have to rely on multiple admin UIs or other inefficient methods. We’re also thrilled about our newly released media viewer, providing a simplified viewer implementation that means one less hassle with automatic optimization within the viewer, which is easily customizable so you can fine-tune it for your needs, further streamlining your workflow. These are just a few key highlights, so be sure to join our webinar for technical demos on how Image Manager can be used, how to implement these features today, and to learn about what’s to come later this year, with an opportunity to ask our product experts questions, live.
